Look up your prevailing wage

From job site to binding wage determination in three steps

To find the prevailing wage that applies to a project you need three facts: the county of the job site, the construction type, and the classification of the work. This page gets you from those to the binding wage determination in a few clicks - using this site's index of all 4,180 active Davis-Bacon determinations, each linked to its official SAM.gov document.

Step 1 - pick the state

Each state page lists every county with its active determinations by construction type.

Step 2 - pick the construction type honestly

Rates differ a lot between schedules, and the wrong type is the most common (and costliest) lookup error:

Step 3 - open the determination and read your line

Follow the county's link to the official document at SAM.gov and find the classification for the work performed - base rate plus fringes. How to read a determination decodes the line format; the calculator turns it into total and overtime rates.

Contract work? The determination incorporated into your contract governs, even if a newer revision has since published. For state-funded projects, your state may use its own schedules - check the state page's law section.
