To find the prevailing wage that applies to a project you need three facts: the county of the job site, the construction type, and the classification of the work. Step 1 - pick the state

Rates differ a lot between schedules, and the wrong type is the most common (and costliest) lookup error:

Building - an enclosed structure people walk into: offices, schools, plants, warehouses.
Residential - houses or apartment buildings up to four stories.
Highway - roads, streets, runways, most paving.
Heavy - everything else: sewer/water lines, dams, pipelines, dredging, civil work.
