How to find the required rate

  1. State or locally funded project: use the rate schedules from Michigan LEO, Bureau of Employment Relations — Wage & Hour - official Michigan prevailing-wage portal.
  2. Federally funded project: find the county in the Michigan determination index and open the official SAM.gov document for your construction type.
  3. Read the classification line - base rate plus fringe (how to read a determination); compute totals and overtime with the calculator.
The official source: binding Davis-Bacon and Service Contract Act wage determinations are published by the U.S. Department of Labor at SAM.gov Wage Determinations. This site indexes them and links every determination to its official document - the determination incorporated into a contract governs.
